This is my second time at The Grand this year and again it's faultless. I feel for the capacity they handle check in very well and always give great customer service, we dealt with Salvera and she was top class. So helpful and welcoming, exactly what defines great hospitality. As well as the rest of the staff. Superb. Our room was lovely and sufficient with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was clean. You cannot fault this hotel for the location it's incredible! The terrace views are fabulous to spend a morning having a coffee and watching the ocean. You are right next to the tramway with helps avoid stairs for those who cannot climb them. The history of the property it's outstanding and so interesting, when people are complaining it's outdated, they need to go stay in a travelodge or generic hotel which is newly built. I'd hate to see this beautiful property turned into a carbon copy of a cheap IKEA catalogue. I love it's charm. And yes there us wear and tear, but it's a building from 1867! And it's massive! And trust me if a bit of chipped paint or worn carpet is going to ruin your stay, I think you haven't prioritised correctly. This hotel is so good value for money, it's so helpful to be able to take my family somewhere so amazing and actually be able to afford it without worrying. Anyone complaining about the price needs to go to London or any other touristic city in UK and compare. Can't even get a shared form hotel in London for the price of a room at the Grand. Overall another perfect stay and cannot wait to return soon. Thanks again everyone

The staff were amazing. Very cheerful, very welcoming, very helpful, way beyond what we expected. Our room was clean and smelt fresh. Clean towels. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the food and the staff in the dining are great, I must say excellent service by staff in the dining. The view is amazing, sea view while dining. The kids enjoyed. Best location. We all enjoyed our stay at the Scarbrough Grand. And Scarborough people are lovely. The lobby is clean, very antique. It was safe for us. We loved it. We had a sea view room. We also had a sea gull visit our window every morning to say goodmorning, it stayed for atleast half an hour. The kids loved it. They had a new pet bird. Ofcourse it was on the otherside of the window couldn't fly in, we just watch it. It was lovely.

I went for a 5 day solo trip. Had no problem at all with the staff, the bar staff were nice people. My room was on the bottom floor, which I opted for the cheapest with no window as I didn't mind. And the bed was so comfortable, clean. The bath had water jets. High pressure water and quickly heated(maybe to do with being bottom floor) and just overall really Authentic classic place. I've seen complaints about certain things but it's a hotel built in the 1800's it isn't going to be a 5* luxury modern complex. But no besides not being able to tune the sound on the TV. No complaints

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel lives up to its name 'Grand' and gives a real sense of how grand things were back in the day. The room we had was clean, comfortable and functional. The entertainment included a fun session of Bingo, a film and a Cabaret which was very entertaining. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options and very good. Great location with beautiful views. All in all a stay in this hotel is one not to be missed, but ensure you purchase a good room.

Room was really spacious. Very well kept. Everything worked as it should. Beds were so comfortable. Staff were helpful and welcoming even though they were kept busy. The whole hotel was very tidy and clean. Plenty of seating for eating, drinking and general relaxing. Access to Scarborough town is only a short walk away. Be aware of the car parking though – you need to purchase a long stay ticket from the hotel as all parking around the hotel requires them.
